Happy New Year! I fell asleep at like 8:30pm, whoo hoo! Party animal. I did have a dream were the Philosophy department was going on some random trip somewhere and Dr. Davis was freaking about something and than we were in the Caribbean and Fidati was a pirate (a very nice and damn sexy pirate mind you) and J.R.R. Tolkien= Walt Disney= George Harrison (who was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin) = Jimmy Stewart ... I don't know. Now I am watching Dancer in the Dark with Bjork, so I feel like I am still sleeping.
I was pretty much in my bed all day yesterday. I watched The Crying Game on my laptop whilst IMing with Katzman. I think that our conversation serves very well as a review of that film, so here it is (screen names changed to protect the innocent):

Robert Plant was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin. Mebbe that wasn't your point and George Harrison being the lead singer was just another one of your dream anomalies...

And George is all like "Gotta whole lotta love" and I was confused.

Even in jail, he wants to protect her and not just out of obligation. I do not like the movie because it burdens my sexuality and fails to legitimize my womanhood.
In true Nazi fashion, we should burn movies like Save the Last Dance after viewing this jolly trip of questioning what is permissible for lovers. On the other hand, just burn crap movies without seeing the film or the crying game that is okay as well.
You know what hope? I completely agree with you on all counts. It totally failed to legitimize my womanhood too.
